I’m Jordan Yap, a basketball journalist, storyteller, and advocate for the growth of Malaysian basketball

Since 2000, I’ve covered everything from the 2003 FIBA Asia Champions Cup to the iconic 2004 NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. My career has been filled with milestones that shaped my perspective on basketball, leading me to one core insight: building a basketball culture takes time, effort, and consistency.

That’s why, in 2017, I took things a step further. I began editing highlights of Malaysian players in the ABL and sharing tactical videos on YouTube—creating a space where fans could connect with the game in a deeper way. Fast forward to 2023, and I’ve launched 喬遇師傅 2.0, a video podcast show where we dive into the minds of basketball leaders.

My goal? To keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for basketball in Malaysia, one story at a time.

ABOUT MY WEBSITE

A Place for All Basketball Lovers

Basketball has always been something I love to talk about—especially with friends who share that same level of passion.

This website is more than just my personal space—it’s a bridge between me and the basketball community. It’s where I’ll regularly share fresh articles, videos, and insights that dive deep into the game, with a special focus on Malaysian basketball.

My goal is simple: I want to create a place where basketball lovers can come together, share ideas, and be a part of something bigger. If you care about the game like I do, you’re in the right place.

MY VALUE

Believing in the Future of Malaysian Basketball

I believe in the untapped potential of Malaysian basketball. This isn’t just a dream—it’s an opportunity waiting for us to seize. My vision is to see a thriving basketball industry in Malaysia, one that competes on the international stage with pride and purpose.

As Saburo Kawabuchi, the father of Japan’s J League, once said, “Those who say it’s too early will still say it’s too early in 100 years. Those who say there’s no precedent will still say that in 200 years.” We can’t let the present circumstances hold us back from creating the future we want.

I invite you to join me in this movement. Together, we’ll build a foundation for Malaysian basketball that doesn’t wait for the right moment—we create it.
